PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Senior Credit & Collections Specialist plays a critical role in managing and resolving complex and delinquent customer accounts received as a second level escalation. This role is responsible for analyzing delinquent account balances and following up with customers for past due amounts, including disputes and deductions. The Specialist also serves as a key liaison between customers, internal departments, and leadership to ensure timely resolution of payment issues and to implement strategies that maintain account health.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:
Act as second level of escalation within the collections processAnalyze customer delinquent account balancesManage portfolio and implement collections strategy to reduce delinquency and resolve disputesContact customers primarily via GetPaid, as well as other relevant systemsFollow-up with various departments to get supporting documents/infoHandle and process inquiries from McKesson virtual teamReconcile open and closed transactions as necessaryProcess or submit adjustments / write-offs based on DOAProvide billing data (i.e. invoice copies, statements) upon request from customer to facilitate paymentsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in accounts receivable or B2B collectionsPREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Solid knowledge of A/R (collections and reconciliation)Use of good judgment within defined policies and practicesDay to day communication with business partner/relevant counter partsAbility to interact with customers via phone, email, etc.Intermediate skills in Excel & OutlookUnderstanding of full OTC cycleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of GetPaid and/or SAP SystemsAccounting and reconciliation skillsCustomer and service oriented in resolving process related requirementsUnderstanding of DSO/DDSO and delinquency targetsWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
