What's in it for you: Trane in Charlotte is hiring a Senior Controls Project Specialist. This is a critical role on our team, and we are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge & field experience with HVAC / Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls. This is a hybrid role, with responsibilities encompassing project management, field technician work, project development and some design/engineering.
What you will do:
Responsible for the commissioning
Diagnosis and repair of environmental-control systems
Utilizing\u00A0knowledge of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, and control techniques.\u202F
May also\u00A0be responsible for\u00A0hardware and software design activities for small building automation systems,\u00A0utilizing\u00A0engineering principles and practices for work on assigned projects.\u202F\u00A0
In addition, this role is responsible for projects that have the following criteria:\u00A0
Owner Direct\u00A0Controls projects as defined by the local office.\u00A0
Projects that\u202Fhave strategic value in the District Office.\u00A0
Financial responsibility\u00A0for the project \u2013 scope of work,\u00A0schedule\u00A0and budget.\u00A0
Able to manage multiple vendors,\u00A0subcontractors\u00A0and technicians as needed.\u00A0\u200B
What you will bring:A diploma/degree or equivalent required in Engineering, HVAC, or Building Control in relevant field, and typically 10 plus years of experience in HVAC/BAS.
Knowledge of industrial system protocols like BACnet, Modbus,\u00A0LONTalk.\u00A0
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).\u00A0
Must possess a valid driver\u2019s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
