Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Contract Expert for one of our major infrastructure projects: the construction of India’s longest extra-dosed cable-stay bridge, spanning 19.20 kilometers over the Brahmaputra River, connecting the states of Assam and Meghalaya.
Lead and manage all contractual aspects of large highway and major bridge projects
Handle variation orders, contractor claims, and dispute resolution
Support procurement processes including bidding document preparation and tender assistance
Manage arbitration and contract administration matters
Ensure compliance with multilateral and bilateral funding agency requirements
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in contract management of bridges and highways projects
Experience in at least 3 countries, including minimum 2 years outside the home country
Minimum 4 years in a similar capacity on International / National / State Highway or Major Bridge projects
Contract management experience on at least two (2) large Highway or Major Bridge projects, including:
Handling of variation orders
Management and disposal of contractor claims
Experience as Procurement / Contract Specialist for:
Bidding document preparation and tender assistance
More than two bridge projects
International / National projects with ICB contract value exceeding INR 1,750 Crores in at least two projects
Experience in handling arbitration cases related to highway or major bridge projects
Experience in projects funded by Multilateral and/or Bilateral Funding Agencies
Age limit: Not more than 60 years
QualificationsGraduate in Civil Engineering
Desirable:
LLB, or
Diploma / Postgraduate Degree in Construction Management, or
Certificate Course in Construction Management, or
Certificate Course in Contract Management, or equivalent
Additional InformationConsultant roles: Team Leader, Resident Engineer, Senior Contract Expert (Construction Supervision / IE / AE)
Contractor roles: Project Director, Project Manager, Senior Contract Expert (Construction / Construction Supervision)
Government roles: Superintending Engineer (or equivalent) and above
