The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise on digital accessibility strategy and implementation and support deliverables of the various program workstreams pertaining to standards, policy, controls, governance, training, maturity and sustainability of digital accessibility at CIBC. They will review and recommend organizational practices to ensure they align with the ACA and the Accessible Canada Regulations pertaining to digital requirements and support the Director, ACA Accessibility in implementation of these requirements. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most_ _optimal_ _for you to thrive in your role._ _You’ll_ _have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where_ _you’ll_ _spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. _ **Who you are** + **Expertise** in the ACA and Accessible Canada Regulationsand/ororganizational implementation ofdigitalaccessibility legislationsuch as AODA, AMA, ADA + **Understanding** ofdigitalaccessibilityregulatorycompliancelandscapeandtheACAregulatoryframeworkand digital accessibility fundamentals + **Experience** working in a large institutionworking withmultiplestakeholdersacross the organizationon large-scale accessibility programs + **Experience** creating andoperationalizinga control framework into processes to ensurecomplianceand sustainability + **Collaborate** with cross-functional teams to ensure that accessibility is integrated into the development lifecycle and adheres to best practices, internalcontrolsand operational standards from an accessibility perspective **How** **you’ll** **succeed** + **Experience:**  3–5+ years in a specialized accessibility role, with a strong background incompliance,policy, strategy, and project management. + **Strategic Thinking:**  Ability to translateregulatory requirementsinto actionable, long-term organizational strategies. + **Collaboration:**  Experience working across cross-functional teamsin a large organization + **Continuous Improvement:** ability to improve processes, support change management activities. + **Empathy:**  Deep understanding of the lived experiences of persons with disabilities and the impact of systemic barriers. + **Education:**  Accessibility Studies, Disability Studies, Human Rights, Social Sciences, or a related field (e.g., User Experience,Regulatory Compliance). + **Knowledge:**  In-depth understanding of the Accessible Canada Act,Canadian Accessibility Standards,WCAG standards, and the Canadian Human Rights Act. + **Communication:**  Strong communicationskillsand ability to explain technical requirements in plain language. + **Assets:**  Personal,livedexperience with disability.
