Description A boutique advisory firm specializing in financial and accounting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M& A) is seeking a Senior Associate to join its dynamic team in San Francisco, CA. The firm works with a diverse client base including private equity funds, corporate acquirers, lenders, and other investors, and is known for handling complex transactions involving large companies. Position Overview: The Senior Associate will play a critical role in analyzing financial statements, assessing earnings quality, and preparing client deliverables. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong audit background, preferably from a Big 4 accounting firm, who are passionate about financial analysis and M& A advisory work. Key Responsibilities: + Analyze target company financials to assess EBITDA, cash flow, and financial health. + Lead and manage communications with internal team members and external stakeholders. + Create sophisticated Excel models and financial analyses. + Prepare client-facing presentations using PowerPoint. + Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. + Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit or financial due diligence. + CPA required (inactive status acceptable); CFA or advanced degrees are a plus. + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis. + Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (advanced functions required). + Experience with analytics tools such as Power BI or Alteryx is highly preferred. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-focused environment.
