SR. CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR (15.7.8)
Qualification: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Diploma in Mechanical, (or) Petroleum Engineering discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction. Experience: Candidate should have a minimum 12 years of experience in supervising the fabrication and offshore hook-up of oil and gas production/wellhead topside and Jackets including construction work and material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, load-out activities. Candidate must have robust experience in FEED and EPIC projects with strong capability to review/approve contractor deliverables. Computer literate. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent command of English Language (oral and written) Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness. Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings. Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions. Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible, accountable for the day-to-day Construction/execution of Structural, Piping and mechanical aspects of Project to ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings, engineering design and safety, environment and company standards & specifications. Act as an interface between Asst. Manager, Construction, Asset Holder, Contractor, and Construction Supervisors. Provide guidance in his discipline to construction supervisors and Contractor to ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and HSE requirements. Act as company site representative to manage Structural, Piping and Mechanical scope in fabrication yards, offshore installation and hook-up barges, Halul, Brownfield modifications workboats etc. to monitor, control and report project progress. The position is predominantly focused on Mechanical, Structural and Piping and shall have the capability and previous proven experience as Client representative. Participate in all engineering workshops during FEED and EPIC. Participate in onshore fabrication activities and offshore hook-up campaigns as company representative for managing the structural, piping and mechanical disciplines. Manage and guide the contractor during engineering, review, comment and approve contractor deliverables in PDMS. Attend engineering workshops such as Constructability review, SIMOPS, Schedule Risk Analysis, 3D Model Reviews, HAZOP, HAZDEM, Lifting Plan reviews and provide inputs to ensure that these workshops are complying to company requirements. Ensure Contractor execute the fabrication, mechanical completion, load etc. in onshore and hook-up and brownfield modification in offshore are in accordance with company requirements. Monitor, control and report Contractor’s performance, man-power deployment, plant and equipment’s movements, construction slippages etc. Act as the construction Risk Management representative to identify Construction Risk events, the effects & consequences, propose mitigation measures and take ownership to ensure mitigation measures have been implemented at site. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction progress reports for assigned projects and verify contractor’s progress statements for accuracy. Liaise with senior discipline engineers throughout all phases of the project for all construction related matters including inputs during the detailed engineering and procurement stages. Coordinate the MCC walk through, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractor, vendors and end users. Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions. Monitor and control of company work permits to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits. Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to offshore sites following the contract award. Interact and interface with other contractors, projects, departments regularly to identify and resolve all construction related matters especially liaison with Production and Maintenance departments. Participate weekly and monthly HSE walkthrough and monthly HSE audits. Support company in development of new standards, specification, guidelines etc and support enhancement of existing corporate documents.
