For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:
A Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution, or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in maintaining/repairing/installing combustion system. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.Preferred Qualifications

Improving the overall safety of the plant’s equipment and processes. Providing technical support for the maintenance of complex diagnostic procedures, training programs, preventative maintenance programs, and equipment breakdowns. Performing root cause analysis with the goal to eliminate maintenance downtime. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating equipment installations. Providing engineering and consultation services in terms of diagnosis and solutions of difficult operating and maintenance problems. Training less experienced engineers, maintenance supervisors, and craft personnelProject Management:
Providing specialized technical expertise in the application and use of new technologies for plant facilities and processes. Participating in development of long range process and facilities planning, capital expenditure, and cost savings programs. Driving continuous improvement activities to eliminate all waste, especially as related to equipment downtime, safety, work practices, and employee involvement. Performing and/or directing the design, development, installation, cost control, and evaluation of complex engineering projects. Initiating new projects and carrying them through to completion. Writing and/or approving engineering specifications, designs, estimates, schedules, spare parts lists, quotations, requisitions, work orders, etc. Preparing RFAs, engineering reports, and project status reports. Working closely with other departments in Cleveland Operations and outside vendors to plan work activities. Engineering & Innovation: Providing engineering innovations intended to increase reliability and availability of the plant facilities. Providing support on corporate engineering direction and policy decisions regarding engineering standards, equipment, and processes. Continuing to learn the craft of project management, engineering, and processes (project and reliability engineering) within their respectively assigned area of responsibility. Observing operating areas to maintain knowledge of current conditions.Performing other duties as assigned.
