Job Description
We are seeking a Chargebacks Analyst to lead the chargeback adjudication process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves evaluating and processing customer chargeback submissions, addressing discrepancies, and maintaining performance goals to enhance the customer experience and reduce financial risks.
ResponsibilitiesLead the chargeback adjudication process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.Evaluate and process customer chargeback submissions, addressing discrepancies in customer, product, and vendor information.Partner with Pricing, Contracts, Government Pricing, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure chargeback pricing accuracy and contract alignment.Manage the month-end chargeback reconciliation process in collaboration with Finance to ensure accurate and complete sales reporting.Conduct regular audits of opioid disbursements to ensure compliance with government regulations.Collaborate with customers to resolve chargeback disputes in alignment with contractual agreements.Maintain and manage GPO/IDN membership rosters, ensuring eligibility and adherence to contractual obligations.Perform comprehensive weekly analysis of commercial contract changes, summarizing the impact of each change.Reconcile chargeback deductions, facilitate denial collections, and collaborate with the collections team for efficient resolution.Conduct audits of chargeback membership data, addressing inconsistencies related to rejections and membership eligibility issues.Act as a liaison between IT and sales operations for EDI transactions, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer.Assist the commercial rebate team in preparing and adjudicating small claims.Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to special projects as needed.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.3-5+ years of chargeback, pricing, or financial operations experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical chargeback processes and familiarity with Class of Trade (COT), GPO, and IDN structures.In-depth knowledge of government regulations, DEA compliance, and pharmaceutical contracting.Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), chargeback software (e.g., iContracts, Model N), and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions.Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Advanced data analytical skills including experience with data acquisition, data management, and visualization software preferred.Strong technical writing skills and process management experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsOutstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with tact and diplomacy.Ability to develop strong relationships with contacts at customer accounts.Ability to work with and effectively communicate with all levels of management.Proficient and accurate in keying numbers and letters.Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.High-paced office environment.Stress tolerance.Ability to spend extended periods of time viewing a PC screen.Ability to sit for extended periods of time.Must adhere to a pre-determined work schedule.Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and two days remote. During training, the candidate may be required to be onsite 3-4 days a week for the first month. The office environment is high-paced, and the role involves extended periods of time viewing a PC screen and sitting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
