Job Description
We are seeking a Purchasing professional to support a fast-growing manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with the Head of Supply Chain to enhance purchasing operations, assist with backlog cleanup, and help stabilize processes during a period of growth. The position focuses on custom-manufactured parts, requiring interaction with engineers and suppliers, and involves significant responsibility in ERP sourcing and implementation efforts.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain to improve purchasing operations and processes.Assist with backlog cleanup efforts to ensure timely and efficient operations.Work closely with engineers to interpret technical drawings and specifications for custom-manufactured parts.Coordinate with suppliers for effective communication and issue resolution.Support ERP system sourcing and implementation, acting as a key user and partner during evaluation and rollout.Manage purchase orders and oversee backlog cleanup, including POs and past-due invoices.Essential Skills
5+ years of purchasing or buyer experience in manufacturing environments.Experience in purchasing custom or engineered parts.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.ERP system experience, preferably with NetSuite or Dynamics 365.Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.Resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving ability.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ERP implementation, UAT testing, and MRP systems.Ability to coordinate inventory within manufacturing supply chain operations.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
