This role is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the university’s PeopleSoft Student Information System, with a focus on financial related areas. The position plays a key part in maintaining system integrity, optimizing functionality, and ensuring seamless operations. Below are the department’s specific responsibilities associated with this position:
• Function as a business analyst for assigned modules, managing multiple priorities and projects across teams.
• Understand current and future business processes, including short-term and long-term goals.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications to support successful integrations.
• Interpret transformation rules for source and target data objects and document the process.
• Analyze system data to validate integration and transformation processes and identify improvement opportunities using analytical methodologies.
• Analyze system interface requirements and coordinate data exchange with vendors and internal systems.
• Analyze workflows to design enhanced systems.
• Promote future system enhancements and development initiatives.
• Perform and coordinate testing for upgrades and enhancements, driving organizational change.
• Assist with troubleshooting, production support, and business problem-solving.
• Support 3rd party vendors with integrations.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, vendors, and stakeholders to execute project tasks and align priorities.
• Generate reports using Query manager and maintain and develop equation engines.
• Project management specific assignments: Manage full project life cycle: define scope, develop task lists and timelines, coordinate testing, and resolve implementation issues.
• Anticipate and respond to emerging information management, operational, and institutional needs.
• Recommend application security protocols in collaboration with security administrators.
• Facilitate communication between customers and IT to ensure mutual understanding of system requirements.
• Maintain contact with stakeholders and leadership to share updates, resolve issues, and develop new functionality.
• Build consensus on shared data elements and reporting needs across departments.
• Review and triage application issues; maintain support documentation and perform system maintenance.
• Provide training and monitor system availability in collaboration with administrators.
• Recommend improvements to development, maintenance, and system standards.
• Develop action plans with goals and timelines, securing necessary approvals.
• Maintain ongoing communication with management on project progress.
• Flowchart current vs. improved workflows.
• Participate in operational group meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
+ Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Possess 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst specializing in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
+ Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered
+ Proficient in querying core PeopleSoft tables across Student Financials, Campus Community, and Student Records modules
+ Skilled in writing and executing logic within the Equation Engine to support business rules and automation
+ Experienced in scheduling and managing Jobs and Jobsets to streamline operational workflows
+ Adept at developing complex queries using PeopleSoft Query Manager for data analysis and reporting
+ Successfully led small-scale integration projects, including project planning, timeline management, and stakeholder coordination
