AWS China is looking for a Sr. Business Operations Mgr. to partner with the AWS Greater China Region (GCR) Sales and Marketing team and support the Head of Greater China Business Operations. This role will focus on critical operational support for ENT/Partner Programs, Investment Credits Management, and Deal Operations, while working to improve field sales and accelerate customer workload migration and deal closure.
This position will report to the AWS GCR Business Operations Head and will provide leadership, management, and the vision necessary to ensure the business has the proper operational cadence, facilities, people, and tools in place to effectively grow the sales and marketing organization and meet growth expectations across the business.
In addition, the ideal candidate is expected to lead a team in the business operations function and will be responsible for creating efficiencies, developing strategies for continuous improvement in sales processes, and enhancing customer service processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience and solid working knowledge of business planning, financial planning, and/or go-to-market (GTM) modeling for an annual business size of at least $1 billion in the technology sector. The candidate must earn trust through performance and relationship-building, possess strong financial acumen, and have a deep analytic background to assist the AWS GCR Sales and Marketing team in achieving its objectives.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of Go-To-Market strategies, including defining and managing programs that support business growth, creating and integrating business development systems and processes, overseeing strategic investments that align with revenue targets, and optimizing processes to meet market expansion goals and drive deal win rate.
• Develop relationships and processes with Business Development, marketing, legal, finance, HR, the broader Business Operations organization, and other stakeholders to identify and address GTM program and investment reporting issues.
• Identify and address reporting issues, ROI issue, process gaps, and drive timely resolutions.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and participate in projects as needed.
A day in the life

• Build high-impact solutions to deliver to our large customer base.
• Participate in design discussions, code review, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.

Basic Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of deal/finance experience or as a leader of a large Business Operations team in a high-tech Business Development organization. Experience in managing the Greater China Region business is preferred.
- 5+ years of managerial experience in developing and leading a team of 5 or more employees.
- Strong understanding of market competition and winning bid pricing required. Candidates with complex deal/program management and negotiation experience preferred
- Experience in multiple organizational functions, such as compensation, forecasting, organizational development, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or a BA/BS degree in Statistics, Accounting, or Finance is a plus.
- Experience in annuity-based businesses (service-related), multi-transactional analysis modeling, and forecasting.
- Strong financial, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, with strong narrative writing and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales commission plans and compensation plan design.
- Ability to work successfully in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
- Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions with advanced problem-solving skills for complex issues.
- Highly organized, able to multitask efficiently, and effective in ambiguous situations.
