Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, North America Transportation Services
Amazon.com
The Amazon North American Transportation Services (NATS) team is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) with exceptional analytical, technical, and communication skills. NATS—informally known as "Outbound"—is responsible for managing the connectivity and flow across Amazon’s transportation network.
This is a high-impact role that partners closely with Supply Chain Managers, Data Engineers, Program Managers, Data Scientists, and senior leaders to tackle complex business challenges. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, is comfortable working with large and complex datasets, and brings a strong sense of ownership to their work.
We’re looking for someone who is equally passionate about diving deep into data and elevating decision-making across the organization through high-quality insights and scalable solutions.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead cross-functional business intelligence strategies, including defining roadmaps, setting timelines, and delivering results.
* Partner with product, science, engineering, and business teams to shape long-term solutions for data visualization and explainability.
* Own end-to-end data support for new initiatives and business-critical processes, using insights to drive continuous improvement and growth.
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure, pipelines, and reporting tools to enable long-term strategic analysis.
* Simplify and re-architect existing data solutions to meet the evolving scope and scale of the business.
* Integrate data across domains—including supply, demand, sales, operations, and customer behavior—to generate a holistic view of the business.
A day in the life
You will coordinate across product, science, and engineering teams to drive technical execution for planning, control, and forecasting systems that power Amazon’s outbound transportation network. You’ll be expected to influence strategy, drive operational improvements, and unlock new opportunities through data.
