Job Description A bank headquartered in Raleigh, NC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BMS Specialist to lead the oversight, commissioning, and maintenance of our Building Automation Systems across a national footprint. This role combines strategic contractor management with hands-on technical service, ensuring systems meet the highest standards of performance and usability. National Contractor Oversight (70%): Manage BMS contractors across the country, ensuring installations meet the bank’s quality standards. Conduct quality control inspections to verify proper installation and programming. Lead commissioning efforts with vendors to validate system functionality. Ensure graphical interfaces are fully functional and intuitive for facilities managers. Oversee the establishment and build-out of BMS connections from facilities nationwide. Manage three core BMS servers that control communication between: -Corporate Headquarters -Data Centers -Branch Locations Maintain server machines and ensure stable communication across approximately 550 facilities, including: -8 fully connected sites (Arizona, Florida, Virginia, Raleigh) -35 connected branches -485 additional branches pending integration Local Service & Maintenance (30%): Support BMS service and upgrades at the Raleigh location. Collaborate with internal teams on repairs and system enhancements. Perform preventative maintenance, including: -Running diagnostic reports to validate sensor data. -Conducting system checks to verify temperature outputs (e.g., air handler readings). Skills and Requirements 5-7 years of experience with Tridium or equivalent BMS platforms such as: -Siemens -Honeywell -Ensemble -Johnson Controls Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sensor calibration, and graphical interface design. Ability to travel up to 40%. Excellent communication and vendor management skills. Proven ability to manage server infrastructure and remote system connectivity. Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting complex BMS installations. Familiarity with facilities operations and preventative maintenance protocols. Ability to interpret system data and translate it into actionable insights. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple contractors and facilities simultaneously.
