The Sr. Benefits & Compensation Specialist will work as part of a dynamic Corporate Total Rewards team and provide comprehensive support to critical benefits and compensation functions. Responsibilities and Duties:
Support day-to-day administration of Crane's 401(k) and pension plans, including responding to information request from vendors, monitoring demographics data integrity and file integrations, error reporting, funding reconciliation and payments, and performing ad-hoc plan and participant research in support of plan operations. Primary contact for day-to-day inquiries and work requests from H&W benefit administration vendors, monitor file integrations and error reports, distribute reporting and process weekly / bi-weekly / monthly claims and reimbursements funding requirements.Respond to queries from HR business partners and associates with respect to plan provisions; coordinate with benefits, retirement and payroll vendors to resolve escalated inquiries with focus on providing thorough and timely response / resolution.Conduct compensation market research and benchmarking to evaluate internal pay equity and external competitiveness.Prepare compensation reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR and business leadership.Partner with Total Rewards leadership in oversight of ongoing service delivery and management of contracted administrators and service providers, receiving and working through service issues, provides feedback to vendors, gets to root cause and recommends solutions. Manage and administer the Crane Fleet and global Service Award programs and vendors.Responsible for compliance-related activities and processes including annual 401(k) plan nondiscrimination testing, highly compensated employee management and Plan demographics reviews. Provide support for internal and external audits cycles, and assist with various regulatory filing activities (e.g. Form 5500, 11-K, PCORI) [I think we want someone to do more than provide administrative support – we want them to be the primary contact, perform research, collect documentation, and with leadership mitigate issues]Support effective benefit communications by collaborating with Crane Co.’s vendors to develop required notices and materials designed to support participant education; support preparation of materials and reports for delivery to Plan Committees and other leaders / stakeholders, develop and participate in presentations to HR business partners and associates.Compile, analyze and report total rewards data for KPI scorecards, strategic planning and evaluation, best practices and benchmark surveys. Analyze and evaluate data and trends, using findings to make recommendations for program and process improvementsCollaborate with internal and external partners (Legal, Accounting, Tax, vendors and consultants) in support of ongoing administration of plans and programsDevelop and maintain detailed knowledge of company's benefit and retirement plans and processes necessary to support administration of the plansSupport ad-hoc analysis / reporting requests from stakeholders and additional HR projects and initiatives as neededRequired Skills

Minimum 3 years' experience in a Corporate Benefits or total rewards role with responsibility / experience in retirement, health and welfare plans. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited College or University in Human Resources, Finance, or other related field or commensurate experience is preferredRelevant professional designation / certification a plus (CEBS, CBP, RPA).Our Investment in You
