Career Opportunity:
The administrative assistant for the Maintenance department at its core record-keeping, time keeping, logistics/operating needs of the team. The administrative assistant works in conjunction with area maintenance supervisors, maintenance technicians, and maintenance leadership to organize and support the department. This position will be a key role within the maintenance team in a union shop environment for both hourly and salary.
How you will impact WestRock:
Support day-to-day business in Maintenance Dept as Point of Contact to update/maintain:Weekend scheduling for maintenance team, reporting vacation, medical, other absences of hourly workforce in timekeeping system (WFS), updating headcount for department, seniority lists and training documents of each trade union (IBEW and IAM) in JDE, ordering/managing office supplies, printer services for the department.
Support safety culture by engagement with crews and online safety training. Manage meal ordering and room reservations as needed for training or meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
High School Diploma or GED required 3-5 years’ experience of administrative support, customer service or similar, preferably in a manufacturing environmentComputer skills are necessary with proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)Experience with software-JDE/Workforce-WFS (preferred)Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasksStrong organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAttention to detail and team playerEffective problem-solving skillsEffective collaboratorExperience working in a unionized environment (preferred)
