Applied Signal Technology (AST) is seeking a dynamic **Sr. Analyst** - **Business Development** **Operations** professional to enhance our business development processes and drive operational efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate across departments, manage unique projects, and leverage business insights to identify growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will be involved in capture development and support and execute marketing strategies, data analysis and reporting to facilitate effective communication while assisting in the growth of business development initiatives. This role will be pivotal in supporting our sales and business development teams, ensuring they have the tools and data necessary to succeed.
**What will you do:**
+ Responsible for management of the internal opportunity database (ODB) and Salesforce pipeline tools, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, opportunities and status.
+ Oversee the maintenance of the CRM databases to ensure timely updates while leveraging these tools to optimize the business development pipeline and reporting capabilities.
+ Use RLPM to ensure business development meets RTX required processes for gates and milestones.
+ Information gathering, data analysis, and development of documentation for reporting and presentation material.
+ Proactively engage division business development leaders in updating and providing monthly status on opportunities maintained in the pipeline.
+ Leads cross-functionally to ensure planning, execution and compliance requirements are met for the business development owned management approval process.
+ Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies across the organizational structure and provide recommended solutions to resolve.
+ Responsible for monthly content and material creation for internal reviews with management.
+ Analyze current operations and identify opportunities for process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Responsible for assisting with the upkeep of international licenses.
+ Assist in planning trade shows and events, to include the coordination of logistics, vendor management, on-site support and scheduling of customer meetings.
+ Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that align with trade show objectives.
+ Development and maintain standardized templates for internal reviews (e.g. Campaign, Bookings reviews), ensuring consistency and clarity in reporting.
+ Lead the planning, execution and monitoring of special projects across the business development portfolio to improve operational performance in alignment with business strategies.
+ Work closely with sales, marketing and finance personnel to streamline workflows and improve communication ensuring a cohesive strategy.
+ Effectively communicate data findings and strategic recommendations to management while ensuring accuracy and integrity of data presented in reports and material.
+ Responsible for continuously tracking trends associated with budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
+ Gather market intelligence research to inform on customer/industry trends, policies, and competitive intelligence to inform capture strategies and support BD efforts.
+ Network at tradeshows and events by engaging with attendees to generate leads and build relationships, ensuring follow-up communication post-event.
+ Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the success of business development initiatives.
+ Assist in the management of the budget for trade shows and marketing initiatives, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
+ Maintain digital repositories for gate reviews, key documents, customer org charts, customer briefings, and engagement plans.
+ Assist in business case development/ ROI development.
+ Travel up to 25% (domestic)
**Qualifications you must have:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, operations, administrative or similar role.
+ Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) and Microsoft office.
+ Proficiency in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems (e.g. Salesforce) and data management tools.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required.
**Qualifications we prefer:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or a related field.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and administrative abilities.
+ Proven ability to work cross-functionally, solve complex problems, lead through ambiguity and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
+ Experience building proven relationships and influencing all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrated ability to work across multiple functions with highly matrixed teams who do not report directly to you.
+ Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Existing TS/SCI within the last 24 months.

The salary range for this role is 72,000 USD - 144,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
