What You’ll Be Doing

You will join CIBC's Identity and Access Management Operations team to monitor, analyze, review, and issue appropriate access to CIBC's technology. You will support the execution of our team's mandate by effectively analyzing and resolving complex identity & access authentication requests.  A key activity is to process requests as per the Life cycle Management of Privileged IDs.

How You’ll Succeed

Assessment & Evaluation - You will be responsible for examining and interpreting documentation, architecture diagrams, and verbal information to assess risks. As a SME, you will assess and correct user requests, ensure the appropriate controls are followed and enforced during provisioning and deprovisioning activities, and provision IDs correctly while minimizing impact and risk exposure to the business

Consulting - You will be responsible for collaborating with projects and other technology or business partners to create and execute access management for new/existing infrastructure, aligning with Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives and related policies, standards, and procedures to help enhance our information security posture.  Assist other teams in investigation of potential security incidents and provide recommendations to remediate.

Process Improvement - Recommend solutions to enhance processes, eliminate risks, and improve the speed and quality of key services to our partners. Apply appropriate tools to perform problem determination and root cause analysis; identify bottlenecks, redundancies and vulnerabilities of existing processes as they relate to identity and access management.

Knowledge Sharing - working closely with internal and external partners to ensure that information security best practices are understood and applied; ensuring that knowledge repositories are kept up to date and are transparent to internal partners where applicable; development of and execution of regular and ad-hoc reporting and communications to support IAM initiatives

Who You Are

You can demonstrate experience in Information Security, at least 2 years in Identity Access Management. It's an asset if you have experience with control, compliance, and audit testing. Experience in advancing continuous improvement agendas including process documentation is an asset. Experience with reporting tools is an asset.

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience with Privileged Identity Management tools is an asset. Experience with ID creation on multiple infrastructure platforms is an asset.
