About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to join our Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of financial markets, particularly futures and options, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications. You will play a key role in supporting trade lifecycle management, margin processing, and client reporting across a diverse set of institutional portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Support the full trade lifecycle for exchange-traded derivatives, including trade capture, reconciliation, and settlement.Monitor and process margin requirements, including variation and initial margin, across multiple clearing brokers.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Fund Accounting, Custody, and Risk) to resolve breaks and ensure timely resolution of exceptions.Assist in preparing client deliverables, including daily reports and ad hoc analysis.Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to documentation and control enhancements.Provide support during market events, such as intraday margin calls or exchange-driven changes.Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in finance, preferably in derivatives operations or middle office.Understanding of futures and options markets.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.#LI-HY

Salary Range:
$52,800 - 79,200 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
