Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This role is essential in managing and optimizing the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving procedures. Responsibilities: • Support the training of Accounts Payable Specialists and Expense Report Processors, as well as assist in creating and maintaining procedure manuals for the department. • Investigate and resolve complex issues related to supplier invoices and purchase orders. • Analyze and address discrepancies within accounts payable accounts and system modules, implementing corrective actions as necessary. • Collaborate on the development and implementation of procedural and system improvements to enhance departmental efficiency. • Process payments for invoices and expense reports through checks, electronic transfers, or wire payments, including reporting and uploading payment files to financial institutions. • Accurately key and process assigned invoices, purchase orders, and receivers while resolving related issues and ensuring proper approvals and vouchers are prepared. • Apply sales and use tax rules to invoices and transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations. • Provide backup support for 1099 reporting and the W9 process. • Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving payment-related discrepancies to maintain strong supplier relationships. • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies during all accounts payable operations. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in AP, including experience in 3-way match. Intermediate experience in MS Excel is also required, including the use of VLookups. This role is primarily onsite, with some flexibility to work from home as needed (upon approval). Beginning pay for this role is $50,000-70,000, depending upon qualifications, with a discretionary bonus potential. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in managing invoice coding, entry, and payment processes. • Strong knowledge of 3-way matching and handling foreign currency transactions. • Experience with Concur Expense systems and other accounts payable tools. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Ability to resolve complex discrepancies and supplier issues effectively. • Familiarity with tax regulations, including sales and use tax applications. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
