Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant specializing in SEC reporting to join our team in Short Hills, New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee critical aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This is a dynamic position that requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial data. Responsibilities: • Prepare, review, and coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K. • Conduct monthly account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accuracy and compliance. • Analyze complex accounting records and financial statements to support organizational decision-making. • Develop and post journal entries and adjustments as part of the financial close process. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and analytical reviews during closing periods. • Address inquiries related to financial results and provide detailed explanations as needed. • Perform monthly financial close activities, including the preparation of financial statements. • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity. • Support annual external audit processes and assist with budget preparation. • Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of five years’ experience in financial accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting. • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations. • Proficiency in Excel and other Office applications. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex financial information. • CPA designation preferred, though not required.
