Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounting practices and principles, particularly in real estate development and construction. You will oversee financial operations, prepare detailed reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while managing an assistant to support your daily tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise all accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and job cost accounting, to maintain accuracy and quality in financial transactions.
• Monitor daily cash balances and funding sources, providing short-term and long-term cash forecasts.
• Compile and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts, investment statements, and bank accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and analyze accounting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Generate financial reports and analyses, presenting findings to senior management on a monthly basis.
• Manage loan payments, conduct loan analyses, and ensure proper documentation and tracking.
• Coordinate with external firms for tax return preparation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Maintain corporate and health insurance policies and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Requirements • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including construction and job costing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or construction industries.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and familiarity with ProCore Financial Tools.
• Expertise in general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with team members.
