Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Eagan, Minnesota. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Controller while gaining exposure to diverse accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Perform month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and update the general ledger, guaranteeing the integrity of financial data. • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Conduct account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Manage bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow activities. • Handle WIP (Work In Progress) accounting and ensure proper tracking of project costs. • Support project accounting by monitoring budgets, expenses, and revenue allocation. • Collaborate with the Controller to improve processes and implement best practices. • Assist in preparing financial statements and other reporting documents as required. • Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with internal controls. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environment. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes. • Experience with bank reconciliations and cash flow management. • Familiarity with WIP accounting and project cost tracking. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various stakeholders. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
