We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in LaVergne, Tennessee, and contribute to the success of our agriculture-focused operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting, who excels at managing financial processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
• Oversee complete accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closings for regional clients.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth and accurate annual audits.
• Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity.
• Lead initiatives to enhance accounting processes and implement automation solutions.
• Reconcile bank statements, variance accounts, and prepare comprehensive financial statements such as balance sheets and margin analyses.
• Execute and post adjustments to the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Maintain precise general ledger and sub-ledger balances through regular reconciliation.
• Provide insights and recommendations regarding reserves, expenditures, and asset management.
• Support cost management and performance evaluation efforts to optimize financial outcomes.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met with high-quality results.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting audit experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in researching and applying state and local tax regulations.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience working with ERP systems and driving process automation.
• Knowledge of corporate tax preparation is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to manage complex projects effectively.
