Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in College Station, Texas. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail who can manage financial processes with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting. • Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institutions. • Review financial data and reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with other departments to support financial audits and compliance requirements. • Analyze financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency. • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting activities. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools to manage financial data effectively. • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong ERP skills with a preference to SAP. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
