Your responsibilities - Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP - Partake in various department-wide initiatives - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting - Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests - Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external - Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Requirements - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail - Strong time management skills preferred - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Grant accounting experience preferred - Solid understanding of month end closings - Proficiency in Foundation Grants - Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent - Prior work done in public accounting is desired - Experience with ERP systems - 2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
