Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity. • Prepare and post journal entries, supporting comprehensive financial documentation. • Conduct account and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate balances. • Analyze profit and loss statements, providing insights into financial performance. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. • Balance sheet analysis • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. • Perform inventory reconciliations Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of month-end close processes. • Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries. • Expertise in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures. • Ability to analyze profit and loss statements and provide actionable insights. • Familiarity with accounting standards and compliance requirements. • Experience working in fast-paced environments, preferably within retail or wholesale sectors, Ecommerce, or CPG • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • A commitment to growth and advancement within the accounting field.
