Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee essential financial activities such as monthly closings, account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports. You will also collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data while maintaining adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities: • Conduct monthly general ledger closings, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts. • Review financial statements for accuracy and monitor transactions to identify deviations from expected results. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording of financial information and adherence to policies. • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including regulations and internal controls. • Assist in the development and execution of the company’s financial planning processes. • Respond to auditor inquiries and provide necessary documentation. • Handle confidential financial information with discretion and accuracy. • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management systems is highly desirable. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration. • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
