Sr. Accountant
Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Senior Accountant for a global green energy company with North American HQ in Reno, Nevada. Reporting directly to the Controller, the person in this role will have great opportunity for mentorship, growth and internal promotion. Day to day responsibilities include: • Responsible for the review and preparation of general ledgers for select US and foreign entities. • Prepare, review, and upload journal entries. • Reconciles foreign entity ledgers into the accounting system. • Responsible for preparation of flux analyses, lead, and roll-forward schedules for assigned entities as they pertain to the quarter-end reviews and year-end audits. • Maintains general ledger in accordance with GAAP guidelines for all US entities through consolidation. • Assist in the review/preparation of financial statements. • Reconciles intercompany balances. • Maintains contact and positive interaction with accountants/admin at the foreign and domestic locations. • Maintains SOX controls as stated in internal procedures. • Reconciles subsidiary ledgers in SAP (i.e. AP, AR, Cash modules). • Reconciles payroll information for input into the ledger based on outside resource (ADP). To be considered for this role candidates should have at least 3-5 years of related accounting experience, in addition to a BS Degree in Accounting. Strong technology skills including at least intermediate Excel skills as well as ERP experience is required. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on accuracy and detail. • Proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliation. • Strong skills in financial statement preparation and month-end close processes. • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with accounting systems and software commonly used in precise and detail-oriented environments. • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts, including intercompany balances. • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to internal controls.
