Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing client in Murfreesboro. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and accounting, with expertise in reconciliation and ledger management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations with a customer service mindset. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly. • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner. • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring entries are recorded accurately and align with financial policies. • Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for analysis and reporting purposes. • Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth month-end close procedures and timely reporting. • Work with a large ERP to streamline accounting processes and maintain accurate records. • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial operations and reporting. • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations, ensuring all financial practices meet audit requirements. This client has great benefits and a fun and stable environment Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations and ledger management. • Proficiency in performing account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entry preparation. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including functions and data analysis. • Experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle and SAP. • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
