Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our clients team in Warren, Michigan. This is an in office/on site role and this role is open due to growth. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on general ledger reconciliation, financial reporting, and budgeting. This role requires excellent analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Reports to the Financial Controller. + Perform general ledger accounting and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. + Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights for management decision-making. + Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. + Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate balances across all accounts. + Utilize QuickBooks software for financial reporting and data management. + Preparation of all monthly, quarterly, annual tax returns, or other governmental reporting with guidance from management. + Assist in budgeting processes and forecasts to support strategic planning. + Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and compliance matters. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy. + Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting. • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and best practices. • Hands-on experience managing accounts payable and performing account reconciliations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. • Demonstrated ability to forecast financial outcomes using historical data and trend analysis. • Solid technical accounting skills with knowledge of applicable regulations and compliance standards. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
