Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Torrance, California, and play a key role in managing financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making. This position offers a dynamic opportunity within the aerospace manufacturing industry, providing visibility to senior leadership and opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounting and finance within manufacturing environments and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage cost accounting functions, focusing on manufacturing cost and standard cost methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Conduct audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and industry standards.
• Utilize accounting software systems, such as Oracle, to streamline financial processes and reporting.
• Support testing and implementation of new products and operational processes in collaboration with the operations team.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to aid in strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and other applicable guidelines. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Proven expertise in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting methodologies.
• Experience within the aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly Oracle.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Knowledge of auditing processes and compliance standards, including DCAA regulations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams across the organization.
