Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlantic Beach, Florida. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key operational functions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee and execute complex month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries for accruals, intercompany transactions, and other adjustments. • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts through regular reconciliation and maintenance. • Provide support for bank reconciliations, assisting staff to ensure timely and precise completion. • Apply expertise in ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases) to maintain compliance with accounting standards. • Assist with quarterly tax filings and preparation of year-end tax forms, including 1099s and 1042-S for contractors. • Collaborate with auditors during year-end audits, preparing financial statements and supporting documentation. • Develop and deliver ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and financial accuracy. • Provide backup support for various accounting functions to ensure seamless departmental operations. • Participate in system upgrades and implementations to optimize accounting processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a global or multi-entity organization. • Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. • Proficiency in accounting standards, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases). • Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate and timely journal entries and financial reports. • Familiarity with tax filings and year-end reporting, including 1099 and 1042-S forms. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities. • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
