Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Southern, New Hampshire. This key role involves managing financial processes such as revenue recognition, expense analysis, and cost accounting, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be well-versed in financial systems and reporting tools. Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed reviews of revenue adjustments and deferrals to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. • Prepare and analyze accruals for assigned functional areas during period-end financial close. • Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop and refine budgets that align with organizational goals. • Assist in cost accounting activities, including month-end close processes, inventory reserve calculations, and ad-hoc financial analyses. • Coordinate with accounting teams to finalize reconciliations for designated balance sheet accounts during period-end. • Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, ensuring proper accounting treatment for additions, transfers, and disposals. • Support the preparation and uploading of budget data as part of the annual budgeting process. • Perform analyses to identify trends and variances in financial results, providing actionable insights to stakeholders. • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements in all accounting functions. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or financial analysis. • Proficiency in performing account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. • Experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate financial insights effectively.
