Sr. Accountant
Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at a growing, private equity-backed service company. This role is instrumental in overseeing the month-end close process, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, efficient accounting processes. Key Responsibilities: + Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. + Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies. + Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic business planning. + Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate revenue recognition, expense classification, and adherence to internal controls. + Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvement. + Support audit processes, including preparation of supporting documentation for internal and external audits. + Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and procedures. + Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities. Qualifications: + Strong skills in Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel + Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable financial regulations + Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements + Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. • Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and complex formulas. • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis. • Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements with attention to detail. • Experience with account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations. • Solid understanding of general ledger operations and journal entries. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
