In this role, you will be part of ADP's UX Research team, where you will identify and conduct various research initiatives to inform what we create for ADP's cloud-based payroll, tax, HR, and benefits solutions. Every day, you will be the voice of our clients with UX designers, product managers, and developers. You're on a constant mission to understand them better by analyzing research data and asking key questions that inform our product and design decisions. You help our developers better understand their clients so that they can build a better product.
To thrive in this role, you should be proficient running all phases of research, data collection to synthesis and presentation. You know how to identify the proper research methods based upon the product phase and timeline. You have experience conducting moderated research interviews and leveraging tools for unmoderated research studies, from surveys to card sorts to usability. We're looking for an out-of-the-box thinker with a hunger to try new things and a passion for impact. Collaborate Across Teams
Partner closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure research findings directly inform product decisions. Contribute to team discussions by representing user perspectives and highlighting key insights. Build shared understanding within project teams by clearly communicating research outcomes. Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, distributed environment, seeking guidance on complex or cross-team alignment when needed.Recruit, Execute & Experiment
Independently run usability testing, interviews, and surveys. Recruit participants and execute research projects with appropriate methods. Experiment with research tools and adapt methods, with guidance on more complex/strategic studies.Analyze & Communicate Insights
Synthesize findings into clear takeaways that highlight user pain points and opportunities. Share insights in digestible formats (presentations, briefs, journey maps) to inform team decisions. Focus on influencing immediate design and product direction.Shape Research Strategy
Contribute to research planning by identifying knowledge gaps and suggesting areas of focus. Collaborate on study roadmaps and help prioritize opportunities with input from more senior researchers. Adopt and apply existing frameworks and processes consistently.Embrace Variety & Impact
Work across different product areas, managing tactical usability projects and contributing to discovery studies. Deliver timely, actionable results that influence short-term product outcomes. Gain exposure to a range of methods and product domains.TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Your prior experience with B2B and B2C web and mobile applications, along with experience with research and analysis tools like Maze, Dovetail, Qualtrics, Figma, Miro, etc, will give you the comfort in this role to be successful. Your expertise with UX research methods such as usability testing (unmoderated and moderated), interviews, and surveys is required. You can represent user needs through discovery, business process flows, customer journey mapping, persona development and requirements gathering, and you know how to measure human behaviors and attitudes. You also advocate for the user perspective throughout the product development lifecycle. Ability to collaborate with and influence global teams across multiple time zones and countries is embedded in our culture. An advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction or a related discipline isn't required but could set you apart.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $63,900.00 - USD $171,180.00 / Year*
