Amazon Supply Chain seeks a Senior Transportation Planning Manager to lead strategic planning and execution initiatives for our domestic transportation network. The Transportation Planning organization drives the development and execution of network-wide solutions that enable efficient, scalable operations across Amazon's extensive domestic supply chain network. We're seeking an exceptional leader who combines deep analytical capabilities with strategic vision and proven execution skills.

The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to deliver insights that impact daily business operations, has a strong delivery record, and is experienced in driving execution in a cross-functional environment. This role will operate in a dynamic environment requiring effective communication with stakeholders across multiple groups and levels. The successful candidate will identify problems, conduct deep data analysis, build trust with partner teams, and deliver results that have network-wide impact. This position combines both short-term execution and long-term strategic planning, requiring quick decision-making with incomplete data while maintaining focus on long-term network strategy.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead strategic planning and execution of transportation initiatives that drive efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance service levels across multiple regions and modes within the domestic network
• Develop innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges, including capacity planning, network optimization, and multi-modal strategies
• Own end-to-end planning processes for seamless peak season execution while maintaining optimal year-round operations
• Build and maintain sophisticated forecasting models to drive network decisions and resource allocation
• Partner with Operations, Technology, Finance, and Product teams to design and implement scalable solutions
• Drive data-driven decision making, translating complex analyses into actionable insights
• Lead high-impact projects that influence the strategic direction of Amazon's domestic transportation network
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, and Business teams
• Develop and mentor team members while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Create and implement scalable processes that enable consistent execution across the domestic network
• Lead strategic response to network disruptions and challenges
• Identify and drive process improvements through root cause analysis and data-driven solutions
