The Global Operations Technology Solutions (OTS) Deployment organization manages complex projects and strategic initiatives that span business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT. Our projects power the physical fulfillment of customer orders, including site launches and post-launch programs globally, directly supporting package delivery to millions of Amazon.com customers worldwide.
As a Sr. Tech Infra Program Manager, you will lead complex cross-functional infrastructure programs with significant business impact. You'll define strategy, drive delivery across teams, and own organizational roadmaps and goals. This role demands deep technical expertise to evaluate proposals, ensure scalable solutions, and make data-driven decisions using metrics.
You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver lifecycle and customer-initiated non-launch programs, meeting scope, budget, and timeline requirements. Projects span multiple geographic locations, requiring strong communication skills to coordinate onsite and remote work with global teams. You'll partner with IT management to develop technology products, service standards, and operational enablement efforts.

- Own organizational roadmaps, contribute to OP1/OP2 planning, and manage organizational goals
- Make data-driven decisions using metrics to quantify improvements

- Apply technical program management best practices
- Streamline processes and eliminate dependencies that hinder innovation
- Reduce exposure to common failure modes (unclear requirements, poor collaboration, security gaps)
- Ensure programs align with organizational objectives through regular metric reviews
This role will include frequent travel within the assigned region and Internationally (up to 75%).
A day in the life
A Senior Infrastructure Technology Program Manager starts the day reviewing metrics dashboards to identify risks and blockers, then attends engineering stand-ups across time zones and reviews technical designs for scalability. Mid-day involves leading cross-functional meetings to drive consensus on technical decisions, drafting 6-pager narratives for leadership reviews, and reprioritizing roadmaps with engineering managers. Afternoons include conducting risk assessments for deployments, mentoring junior program managers, reviewing OP1/OP2 planning materials, and resolving escalations diplomatically. The day concludes with updating program documentation, communicating status to directors and VPs, and preparing for technical deep-dives on scaling challenges.

Technical Infrastructure Program Managers (TIPMs) with extensive experience work closely with stakeholders including OTS Field IT, OIS, OTS-D Planning/CGS, and Customer PoCs to deliver lifecycle and customer-initiated non-launch programs within scope, budget, and timeline, while managing risks, capturing lessons learned, and updating project management tools
