The Senior Systems Engineer will configure, validate, and support enterprise applications across Disney’s digital experience ecosystem, with a focus on RWS Tridion CMS (D-Scribe) and AEP (Shuri). This role ensures platform stability, scalability, and continuous improvement by implementing technical solutions, validating integrations, and partnering across engineering, product, and business teams.
Senior Systems Engineers contribute both to sustainment (triaging incidents, resolving defects, validating telemetry) and delivery (supporting new use cases, ensuring configuration readiness, and validating end-to-end user stories).
Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering and Support
Configure and maintain enterprise platforms including D-Scribe and ShuriTroubleshoot and resolve issues across CMS workflows, personalization rules, and data structuresRead, interpret, and validate JSON structures from service integrations to ensure accuracy and alignment with platform requirementsPerform audits, monitor telemetry, and maintain compliance with system health standardsUse Case and Delivery Support
Support delivery teams by preparing environments, validating schemas, and ensuring use cases and user stories are production-readyParticipate in backlog refinement and sprint planning as a technical owner, providing effort estimates and identifying risksValidate completed work against defined user stories and provide technical acceptance of delivered featuresIncident Response and Sustainment
Lead triage during high-severity incidents, coordinate with vendors, and manage escalationsMonitor vendor SLA performance and document root cause analysis for continuous improvementMaintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentationCross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineers, QA, and product owners to align delivery with business prioritiesContribute to technical reviews, design discussions, and release readiness assessmentsMentor junior engineers, reinforcing standards and best practices across the teamRequired QualificationsMinimum 5 years of related work experience in systems engineering, application sustainment, or technical deliveryHands-on experience with enterprise content and personalization platforms (e.g., RWS Tridion CMS/D-Scribe, AEP/Shuri)Ability to troubleshoot applications, analyze telemetry, and optimize performanceProficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and API testing tools (Postman) for JSON validationFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamicsExperience with CI/CD practices and distributed version control systems (Git)Comfortable working in Agile environments with backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence)Preferred QualificationsExperience sustaining large-scale enterprise content and personalization platformsFamiliarity with schema design, tagging frameworks, and identity/personalization rulesKnowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Strong communication skills, including executive-ready reportingEducationRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experiencePreferred: Advanced coursework or certifications in systems engineering, cloud technologies, or digital platforms#DISNEYTECH
