Sr System Administrator
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Are you ready to lead the deployment of new technologies and manage system integration testing for PC and server operating systems and related hardware? As a Senior Systems Administrator at Spectrum, you will design, install, configure, and maintain systems while directing staff activities and evaluating their work. You will also administer applications supporting all Spectrum divisions.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Maintain and administer computing environments, including computer hardware, systems and applications software, and configurationsRecommend improvements to systems and network configurations, determining related hardware or software requirementsTroubleshoot server problems reported by users Apply change management processes to minimize customer impact during operational procedures Research, evaluate and recommend software and hardware productsSupport web access and electronic messaging services and maintain a secure systems environment Specify hardware for users based on application, business needs and anticipated growth; install new servers and maintain the server infrastructure Define monitoring procedures and establish plans to resolve system issues Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and network problemsParticipate in multiple projects, sometimes as a project leader

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience

8+ years of related IT work experience

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of business users in a professional manner Increased knowledge and ability to make decisions around service ticket requests utilizing software such as Remedy Expert level knowledge around system administration tasks and ability to provide recommendations around approach to leverage resources Ability to lead other staff doing similar work in the department Ability to offer training and instruction and helps to set the pace within the department

The base pay for this position generally is between $77,900.00 and $140,470.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
