Qualcomm Graphics Software Engineers architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools. Ideal Candidate Will Have

Strong C/C++ programming skillsFamiliarity with a GPGPU API such as SYCL, OpenCL or CUDA.Understanding of data structures and algorithms, including object-oriented programming

Preferred Skills:

Device driver development, including GPU or CPUProgramming experience with Graphics APIs such as OpenGL ES/Vulkan/DX11/DX12Knowledge of GPGPU application development including Mathematical Operations and Image Processing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Applies Graphics knowledge to assist in the architect, design, implementation, and verification of the structure and performance of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools.

•  Writes code for well-defined features, drivers, and APIs using different languages (e.g., C, C++, perl, python).

•  Maintains comprehensive pre- and post-silicon tests using tools and methods for a specific, well-defined component to verify performance.

•  Assists in identifying deficiencies in designs and works with team members to develop solutions to improve designs.

•  Collaborates with team members to understand new features and functionality that align with needs and goals for implementation and customization.

•  Writes detailed design documentation and feature descriptions for projects.

•   Works under supervision.

•   Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.

•   Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.

•   Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals
