Sr Specialist Software Engineer

Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

What You'll Do:

Join a strategic initiative to transform our broadband device software development organization. As a Software Engineer, you will work alongside experienced team members to help develop high-quality, innovative software for the next generation of broadband gateways serving over15 million customers. You will have the opportunity tolearnnew technologies, contribute to software solutions, and support a quality-first approach throughout the development process. Your contributions will help set our products apart in a competitive market and playan important rolein delivering industry-leading solutions.

Embedded Linux Software development for Broadband Customer Premise Equipment (CPE). 

Contribute to development of new features and bug fixes for new and existing Broadband CPE. 

Development in an Agile environment with up to 5 releases a year.

Conduct code reviewsofongoing software development.

Develop automated testing tovalidatenew features. 

What You'll Need:

2+ years ofexperience in embedded software development.

In-depth knowledgerelating to embedded development, applying organizational practices to resolvechallengingproblems, andimplementing policy changes to improve functions. 

Proventrack recordofimplementinghigh-quality code that adheres to the company standards in coding,testingand security.

Knowledge of Linux operatingsystem, process execution, multi-process environments, inter-process communication.  

Experience in an Agile development environment.

Experience with C programming, including standard C libraries, and other common libraries likelibssl,libcrypto,libcurl.  

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)desiredin Computer Science. 

Knowledge ofprplwarelibraries. Familiarity with theOpenWrtbuild system, and its IPC mechanismubus,overlayfs, and its config system UCI.

Experience in an Agile development environment.

Our Sr Specialist Software Engineer, earns between $118,800-$178,200 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
