As a member of this team, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and comprehensively supervising compliance with the tax and labor obligations derived from the organization’s employee payroll, ensuring strict adherence to current federal and state tax regulations. This role is operational, overseeing the correct determination, calculation, filing, and audit reporting of payroll-related taxes, as well as effectively responding to audits and requirements from tax authorities, primarily the SAT, IMSS, and state authorities.
**Essential Functions:** ** **
+ Ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations related to payroll.
+ Provide guidance on IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISN, ISR, and the Federal Labor Law.
+ Supervise the calculation and payment of employer–employee contributions to the IMSS and INFONAVIT.
+ Review payroll tax in accordance with state laws.
+ Perform payroll reconciliations against IMSS, accounting, and internal reports.
+ Identify and analyze discrepancies, proposing corrective actions.
+ Participate in and respond to external audits and reviews conducted by labor and tax authorities.
+ Perform payroll reconciliations against IMSS, accounting, and internal reports.
+ Monitor and keep processes up to date in response to changes in labor and tax legislation.
+ Respond to inquiries from colleagues and management regarding payroll tax matters.
+ Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including payroll summaries and tax reports. Research and promptly resolve payroll discrepancies. Assist in preparing the annual payroll budget and forecasts. Assist in preparing the year‑end report.

**Qualifications:**
**Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
+ Certifications are a PLUS.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration and labor‑law compliance.
+ Experience in handling labor and tax audits.
+ Payroll calculation.
+ Income tax (ISR) applied to wages and salaries.
+ IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT (registrations, terminations, modifications, and contributions).
+ Payroll tax (ISN).
+ Federal Labor Law.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Outlook).
+ Microsoft Teams.
+ PeopleSoft – Oracle HCM (desirable).
+ Knowledge of accounting ERPs (SAP, Oracle, or other ERPs, desirable).
+ Strong organization and process‑follow‑up skills.
+ Confidentiality and professional ethics.
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet closing deadlines.
+ Service‑oriented mindset with strong internal and external customer support (HR, Finance, Taxes, Employees).
+ Clear and effective communication.
+ Teamwork skills.
