What FinOps Sr Specialist contributes to Cardinal Health
FinOps Sr Specialist is an advance analytics specialist that analyzes, plans, and delivers solutions to optimize cloud cost and allows leaders to make decisions to get the most value of our cloud usage.
As a FinOps Analyst, essential duties will include:
Using analytical tools and products perform Cloud cost spend and savings analysis, which sometime will require complex analytical approaches to accomplish the requirement. Support training and coaching of technical/non-technical colleagues around Cloud cost optimization. Work on developing solutions to enable visualization of data to help drive cost savings. Provide continuous feedback to engineers to optimize work through automation.
Responsibilities
Provide good knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategiesKnowledgeable in chargeback process and improvementKnowledgeable in providing high level spend forecast and trendsExperience in developing cloud cost spend and savings reports.Knowledgeable in Finance operations (invoice tracking, good receipt, PO monitoring, etc.)Collaborate with Finance team and Cloud championsAdhere to security and governance guidelinesCollaborate with Engineering teams to implement solutionsPerform tasks in a timely mannerPromote FinOps best practices and concepts Implement policies and procedures Adhere to IT cost management strategies, models, processes, and toolsWhat is expected from you

2+ years of data analytics experience2+ years experience with supporting either GCP or AWS or Azure cloud spend analysis2+ years experience in developing reports (leveraging tools like GCP Looker, PowerBI, Tableau)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Understanding of Cloud infrastructure/services Experience of managing cloud chargeback modelsUnderstanding of Cloud commitment usage discountsExperience of managing Cloud billing and Procurement processes (Invoice management)Experience working with AI solutionsCertified FinOps Practitioner 2+ years experience as a Financial Data AnalystCandidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
