Job Description

Role:

Responsible for leading sourcing strategy development, execution, contract negotiations, and management for spending across Indirect categories, with strong specialized knowledge in the IT category portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic and tactical sourcing activities with spend above $500K across multiple categories and a high degree of complexity.Manage contract lifecycle process (including uploading contracts, developing standard templates, and monitoring/tracking expiry).Manage catalog governance and procurement operations.Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms for assigned spend categories.Research potential vendors, develop and execute an RFP for spend above $500K.Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP and contracts as appropriatePerform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions.Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing, delivering and recording annual P&L savings.Support projects assigned for various sourcing activities.Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessProvide mentorship and guidance to junior sourcing generalists on category-specific requirements.

 

Functional and Technical Skills

Sourcing expert – strong experience with sourcing process, supplier management, contract negotiations, and procure-to-pay operationsExperience with ERP systems, spend analytics, eSourcing, and contract management systems required.Excellent category-specific sourcing and category management skills in key portfolios of spend in Indirect (e.g., Services, IT, Facilities)Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategiesExperience negotiating agreements/contracts with suppliers

Understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practices

Experience & Qualification

8+ years of procurement experience within indirect categories, preferred but not limited to the IT category.Proven working experience as purchasing manager, sourcing manager, agentDegree in supply chain management, operations or business administration (nice to have)High level of English language competency (verbal and written)
