The Banking and Move Money (BMM) team delivers a robust and unified Webservices Integration platform, supporting the technology needs of Schwab Bank. Our Quality Assurance Engineering group is dedicated to comprehensive testing for our web services, microservices, and web-based applications. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join this team.

In this role, you will:
Implement standard Agile/SAFE methodologies, resolve test issues, track, and prioritize defects, record test results, participate in product readiness and release decisionsParticipate in technical governance and help facilitate overall product quality standards with development and business teamsEnsure automation is constantly running, analyzing, and promptly reporting on failuresResearch, investigate, implement, and mentor junior team members in the areas of Agile testing practices, Test Driven Development, Test Automation and reporting Test MetricsPlan and execute across multiple product teams and external partnersFoster our end-to-end testing approach across multiple applicationsOversee our processes for status reporting and issue remediationLiaise with product teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reportingAssist in driving Use Case and User Story reviews, and help resolve requirements ambiguitiesPartner with geographically distributed teams to plan and build our future QA Engineering practices and support our technology decisions. What you haveRequired Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineering5+ years of developing, executing, and maintaining automation framework for webservices and DB Testing5+ years of Hands-on coding experience with Java, C# or other object-oriented programming languages5+ years of Hands-on coding or testing experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, Datacom, SQL, SQL Stored Procedures, Messaging Queues (IBM MQ, Kafka), CICS, Easytrieve, and SORT utilities5+ years of hands-on experience with Open-Source Test Automation tools such as Karate, SOATest, Selenium, REST Assured, etc.,2+ years of experience with Git, Bitbucket, Splunk, Postman tools2+ years of Experience with Agile development practices2+ years of experience or knowledge with cloud infrastructure such as Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, or GCP2+ years of Experience with Gherkin language, like Cucumber, JBehave, or SpecFlowUnderstanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologiesWorking knowledge of industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ)Comfortable representing QA in product code reviewsDeep understanding of exploratory testing practicesPreferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of financial servicesProven ability to successfully balance and deliver multiple geographically distributed QA projects with concurrent releasesHands-on experience with Web services virtualization and Test Data ManagementAbility to scope, size, and oversee risk-assessments across complex projects and schedules
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
