Sr Software Development Engineer, AWS APO Engineering
Come join the AWS Marketplace and Partner Services (AMPS) Team on our mission to transform Partner experience with AWS. Within AMPS, Partnerships org builds products and integrations for AWS Partners, as well as tools for internal AWS Builders to serve those Partners. Partner Services intends to make Partner Central the most efficient, easy-to-use, automated, and secure experience for AWS Partners to market and sell their solutions to AWS customers. Our charter is to provide a world class partner experience and help our partners scale through various initiatives including funding, recommendations, and automations through out their journey.

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Key job responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and seasoned Senior Software Development Engineer to help the team take Partner experience to the next level. As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the team you will own significant portions of the product and will have significant influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of product features and system architecture. The systems are complex and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels from the front end user experience to a set of robust backend APIs and services and everything in between. You’re someone who thrives on solving complex distributed computing challenges, is customer obsessed, can mentor and serve as a role model for other engineers on the team and is passionate about building quality software that raises the operational excellence of the organization. You possess strong communication skills since at thsi team you’ll have several opportunities to meet and interact with customers (both buyers and sellers) directly!

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of success delivering new features or products, strong knowledge of web services and protocols and an in-depth knowledge of systems architectures. Experience with asynchronous workflow, big-data, machine learning and AWS technologies is a plus.
