Discover Impactful Work:Drive excellence in the Media Sciences program through right-the-first-time preparation of custom media formulations, compliance adherence, safe lab techniques, and client satisfaction. Champion innovation and practical process improvement in the laboratory
A day in the Life:Play a key role in a team of laboratory staff performing media operations for Research, Quality and Process Development, including GLP and GMP supportComplete tasks associated with media and buffer preparation operations (e.g., complex calculations, aseptic technique, chemical inventory, troubleshooting, cell culture media prep, dilutions, microbial agar plates, pH titration)Performs the weighing dispensing of raw materials for solution prep, filtration, and labelingPerform verification/approval of peer calculations, technical documentation, and equipment logbooksMaintain laboratory areas in a high state of inspection preparedness.Follow procedures as outlined by Best Practices, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work InstructionsSupport other duties as assignedKeys to Success:EducationAssociate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in a scientific subject area and a minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience strongly preferred; or an advanced degree with limited experience; or equivalent combination of work experience and education.ExperienceExperience in a laboratory setting, excellence in customer service required.Experience handling chemicals preferred.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesAttention to detail; technical problem-solving skills; and ability to multi-task.Trained in basic laboratory safety.Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Validated excellence in customer service skills.Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes a team environment.Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and confident working in systems and databases.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently within customer location.Walking/standing for 75-85% of the day.May pass through areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.).Ability to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.GMP/GLP compliance, and audit critical records preferredPhysical Requirements / Work Environment(Provide details)

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $19.64–$29.45.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
