Sr Risk Analyst
Role Overview

The Senior Risk Analyst supports the ongoing development and execution of Asurion’s fraud detection program. This role combines advanced analytics, business acumen, and stakeholder engagement to proactively safeguard against fraudulent activity. Analysts in this role are expected to manage complex data, design fraud detection strategies, and support program initiatives that align with both internal risk objectives and carrier/client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform deep-dive analyses on web, product, and transaction data to proactively identify fraud patterns.Build and refine fraud detection models to forecast risk exposure and adapt to emerging fraud tactics.Translate analytical findings into concise, actionable insights that support program and business decisions.Contribute to the Fraud intelligence detection program road map, ensuring alignment with Asurion’s overall fraud strategyIndependently own and manage smaller program initiatives or projects, including presenting findings to Sr Director+ stakeholders.Partner with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations, and carrier partners) to ensure fraud insights are embedded into business processes.Anticipate potential fraud vulnerabilities and propose program-level improvements to strengthen defenses.Create and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate complex technical findings in a clear business context.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree required; MBA or Master’s in related field preferred.2–5 years of quantitative/statistical analysis in BI, fraud management, risk management, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

SQL and advanced Excel skillsData visualization applications: Power BI , Power PivotExposure to programming languages (Python, JavaScript, CLI) and Big Data concepts.Experience using rules engine and business logic
