The Salesforce centre of excellence is part of the larger International Card & Risk Services Technology group where product, engineering, and delivery colleagues have been brought together to drive a step function change in speed to market and further unlock customer value across several the company’s core platforms. The global Salesforce platform team sits at the heart of American Express’ global marketing, sales, and account development functions for all lines of business. This platform is a critical enabler of American Express’ customer centricity and growth objectives.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce Test Engineer with relevant experience in manual and automation testing of APIs and UIs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of testing methodologies, automation frameworks & a good functional understanding of Salesforce. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Test Planning and Design:
o Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for Salesforce applications.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.Design and execute performance and load tests to evaluate system performance under various conditions.· Automation and Testing:
o Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for API and UI testing using tools like Selenium, Karate, UTAM and playwright.
o Perform smoke and sanity testing to ensure application stability before detailed testing phases.
o Contribute to the existing test automation suite; add new features and maintain existing jobs
· Quality Assurance:
o Ensure all deliverables meet the highest quality standards through rigorous testing and validation.
o Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies to resolution.
o Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Validate data completeness, conformity, accuracy, and consistency in data processes and outputs.Monitor data engineering processes for potential system improvements to enhance the data quality.· Reporting and Documentation:
o Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate test results and progress to stakeholders.
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
o Create and manage traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are covered by test cases.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer Science or equivalent OR master’s in computer applications or equivalent
· 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on quality assurance
Technical Skills:
· Experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
· Experience in UI automation, such as Selenium WebDriver or equivalent frameworks.
· Demonstrated experience with CI/CD and continuous testing (CT) capabilities
· Experience with API Test automation (preferably RESTful APIs and microservice design pattern). Knowledge of Karate API Framework is a bonus.
· Performance testing experience with tools such as JMeter
· Other non functional testing, such as accessibility and security testing is also desired, but not essential
· Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Experience with Salesforce technologies is good to have
