Sr Proposal Associate

Labcorp is seeking a Sr Proposal Associate to join our team in Shanghai China.

Job Responsibilities:

Assists Client Service Managers (CSMs) with managing various aspects of quote, proposal and RFI development

Manages various aspects of quote, proposal and RFI development for assigned transactional clients; adhering to agreed-upon BU-specific and enterprise-wide proposal and pricing processes (i.e. collating data, following-up with other departments, etc)

Establishes clear timelines to meet client requirements and anticipates obstacles and provides solutions

Develops appropriate knowledge of the technical and regulatory environments

Assists in identifying and resolving issues around client inquiry requirements and Covance capabilities

Reviews RFP/quote requests to ensure initial understanding of client requirements

Works with Operations, Finance, Account Executives and others to compile proposal text and/or price response

Ensures timely and consistent delivery of assigned proposals to clients

Performs data entry into SFDC, CMS, and other databases, as appropriate (e.g. updates, proposal number requests and generating both regularly scheduled and impromptu reports)

Contact clients with standard inquiries (i.e. clarifying baseline RFP/quote information, proposal delivery logistics, etc)

Contributes to assigned process improvement projects and supports implementation when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Pharmacy, Nursing), Business (e.g., Management, Marketing).

Preferred Qualifications:

2 or more years of direct CRO/pharma experience.

3 months or more experience in a scientific or logistics environment.

Proficiency in English.

Additional Job Standards:

Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact

Demonstrated computer skills – requires excellent MS Office experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)

Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize

Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills

Proven ability to work independently

Knowledge of other software applications (i.e. SFDC) preferred

Ability to work to deadlines

Strong analytical skills

Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with clients and internal partners

Positive attitude and sense of urgency
